A group of artists in Zagreb are painting the town – by putting up drawings and paintings, across the city in a bid to decorate drab areas of the capital.
The artists, brought together by the "Kontraakcija" (Contraaction) museologist association, have spent the last five days drawing an 18x 14 metres "Paska cipka" – a representation of a special lacework pattern –in the Travno settlement as well as painting ventilation openings on buildings in other areas.
The idea came from young renowned artist Bozidar Katic, 26.
The illustrations are part of the group’s "museum of settlements" project which researches New Zagreb areas and then supports "artistic intervention" in them.
